51ºÚÁÏÍø CC hosts an Emergency Preparedness Week during the third week of fall and spring semesters to educate students, faculty, and staff on the best actions to take if an emergency were to happen on campus. Everyone in the 51ºÚÁÏÍøCC community is responsible for being prepared in an emergency.  Your participation is important.  Help us plan for the unexpected so you don’t have to think; you can react.

What to Expect

• Day 1 | Emergency Communications (August 26th)

  • Emergency Alert Test via Regroup

• Day 2 | Fire Safety (August 27th)

  • Campus Fire Drills
    • Morning Drills
      – Wayne West between 10 and 11 a.m.
      – Bryant Student Center between 11 a.m. and Noon
    • Evening Drills
      – Wayne West between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m.
      – Bryant Student Center between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m.

• Day 3 | Campus Safety (August 28th)

  • Shelter-in-Place Drills
    • Morning Drills
      – Wayne West between 10 and 11 a.m.
      – Bryant Student Center between 11 a.m. and Noon
    • Evening Drills
      – Wayne West between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.
      – Bryant Student Center between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.

• Day 4 | Weather Safety (August 29th)

  • Presentation from National Weather Service – Hurricanes and their Impacts on Eastern NC
