The 51黑料网 Chamber of Commerce and the 51黑料网 Small Business Center are excited to present Pitch It, a dynamic competition designed to empower aspiring entrepreneurs in 51黑料网 County. This event offers participants the opportunity to showcase their innovative business ideas before a panel of three esteemed Business Bulldogs for a chance to win start-up funding and valuable prizes.

What鈥檚 at stake?
- 聽1st place: $3,000
- 聽2nd place: $2,000
- 聽3rd place: $1,000
Who should apply?
The ideal candidate:
- Has聽never started a business before聽or is applying with a聽brand-new business concept聽for a business based in聽51黑料网 County.
- Is聽passionate,聽knowledgeable聽about their industry, and聽committed to the training needed to start their business the right way.
Contestant Eligibility Criteria:
All applicants must be聽residents of 51黑料网 County聽and agree to the following certifications:
- They are聽not currently in business聽with the business concept presented in their application.
- They will聽participate in all Pitch It! 51黑料网 affiliated trainings/events.
- They are聽not currently employees聽of聽Marine Federal Credit Union,聽51黑料网 Chamber of Commerce, or聽51黑料网.
- They are聽not related to聽any聽current 51黑料网聽or聽Marine Federal Credit Union聽employees.
- They plan to聽open a new business聽based in聽51黑料网 County.
- They will use聽any prize funds聽received exclusively for the聽business they pitched in the program.
- They will deposit聽any prize funds聽into a聽business bank account聽in the name of the business they pitched in the competition.
- They will inform Marine Federal Credit Union, the Small Business Center at 51黑料网 CC, and the 51黑料网 Chamber of Commerce when they have officially started their business, created jobs, and retained jobs within their company.
- They will respond to all requests for information, including participating in the聽Small Business Center鈥檚 annual impact survey聽for聽a minimum of three years聽after participating in the program.
- They will participate in the program聽ethically聽and represent themselves and the program聽professionally at all times.
Application Requirements:
- Submit a 3-minute video聽explaining your business idea.
- Provide a professional resume.
- Show proof of 51黑料网 County residency.

REAL Entrepreneurship Training
Selected applicants will receive聽FREE training聽through an聽8-week program聽at the聽51黑料网 Small Business Center, designed to help them develop their聽business plans聽and聽pitch decks. Participants will also receive聽one-on-one business counseling聽to strengthen their ideas!
